We started out playing residencies in cool Brissie venues like Lefties Music Hall, and Sonny's (RIP). A fair bit of drinking would go on at these joints and it always got a little loose on a Saturday night, especially if we threw petrol on the fire with a few old rock'n'roll tunes like Big Mama Thornton's Hound Dog, or David Lindley's Mercury Blues!
Playing covers never sat well with us though and we were in a hurry to replace them from the get-go. Bad Boogaloo is brash, to the point and pretty balls-to-the-wall but with some really nice melodic interplay thanks to Parmis Rose. It's become a favourite of ours to play live - we often finish a show with this song just to make things that extra bit crazy! - Harv (guitar)
